People who have been on sick leave are going back to work before they have recovered because of debt worries. Research by Aviva found 78 percent of workers would consider returning from long-term sick leave before they are ready. 68 percent said that family finances were their main concern during the leave. If you are struggling to pay back debts an Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) could help. People with unsecured debts over £15000 can reach an agreement with creditors to pay back a more manageable monthly amount over 5 years. Debt Relief Orders (DRO) could help those who owe smaller amounts. A further 11 percent of those questioned said they would return to work early because of fears of losing their job.
