More and more Brits are in need of debt advice. The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) reports a sharp rise in the number of people who called its helpline in the first 3 months of the year. An IVA is a good way to manage unsecured debts of over £15000 as a person can pay a manageable amount back over 5 years. Over 93000 people called to ask about debt solutions in the first quarter of 2010. That’s over 20000 more than during the same period on 2009. CCCS says it is expecting record numbers of people needing debt advice in 2010.
