More people in Wales could turn to debt management advice as a survey shows many are worried about the country’s economic recovery. The study by the Principalty Building Society found that 81.7 percent believe Wales is still in recession. 40 percent of those questioned said they feel more financially secure now than they did a year ago but have less money to spend. Although 30 percent said they were planning to save more money this year, many think they will struggle to put any amount away. Graeme Yorston from the firm that carried out the research says “Despite rumours that the recession is over, it will take some time before consumer confidence is fully restored and people start to spend again”.
